I’m Not Doing The Writing Challenge, But The Tanka Challenge Sounded Cool, So Here We Are

Today in a Tanka:

A waste of time? Well,

Maybe. Not like I could have

Changed if I tried. Like

The song,  I give a high pitched 

Note, but a scream. Too little. A.

 

Notes on tankas:

• They’re similar to a haiku,  but longer, as you can see.
• The syllable count: 5,7,5, like a haiku, but then an extra 7,7.
• From what I gather, they’re a lot less nature focused, and poets tend to take a lot of liberties with the last two lines.
